Oasis Amenities was born from decades of engineering and construction wisdom: Co-founders Dean Atkinson and Jake Rogers each have best-in-class skills and design-build experience that give the company a unique position in the commercial development market. Atkinson is one of the top aquatic amenity engineers in the country, while Rogers is an expert in getting large, complicated construction projects completed for real estate developers and owners.

The co-founders’ commitment to excellence is demonstrated in the quality of their products and services.

Dean Atkinson brings over 40 years of experience manufacturing and designing aquatic facilities to Oasis Amenities. In 1985, he founded Com-Pac Filtration. Under his leadership, a humble enterprise of five grew into a team of 50. Dean then started his next venture, Unique Aquatic Design. In its first five years, the company thrived and began collaborating with global giants, including Disney, Universal, and Radisson Hotels.

Dean spent years ensuring that Disney aquatic amenity projects achieved a high level of quality, including a six-month stint as a consultant for Disney in Hong Kong. He was involved in creating ten of Disney’s aquatic resorts. Dean’s other notable projects include Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort in Orlando and Carnival’s Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

A key to Dean’s success is understanding that there are no cookie-cutter solutions for large aquatic amenities. Each facility has unique specifications and design parameters, and Dean’s team makes sure the equipment for each is custom-made to fit that project’s size and needs.

Jake Rogers, meanwhile, has amassed extensive construction experience through the company he founded, The Rogers Group. The Rogers Group specializes in commercial construction for a wide variety of clients and has significant experience building hardscapes and amenities. Their work includes all aspects of a community, from entranceways to clubhouses, commercial pools, playgrounds, dog parks, sports courts, and other featured amenities in master-planned communities.

Jake’s partnership with a premier land developer in Florida led to his focus on building large human-made waterbodies as a focal point in their communities. Construction of multi-acre aquatic facilities can be challenging, and Jake’s experience enabled him to navigate everything from coping with supply chain challenges to dealing with unpredictable weather.
The impetus for Oasis Amenities came as Dean and Jake got to know each other when working on the same project team for several major aquatic amenity projects in Florida. They realized that there was a niche in the market for a customer-focused company that could turn a real estate developer’s community vision into reality.

“Dean and Jake make a formidable team,” said Oasis Amenities’ President and CEO Christopher Souza. “Building on the foundation of their vast experience, we’ve gathered the skills and knowledge to efficiently run the process of creating an aquatic amenity from concept to operation.”

As Souza leads the Oasis Amenities team forward, the vision of the co-founders stays top of mind – to create world-class, one-of-a-kind sustainable amenities that will stand the test of time and bring unsurpassed value for developers.
